During the 90th anniversary celebration for the employees, Josef Jäger, CAMION TRANSPORT Ltd's director and chairman of the board, unveiled the brand-new Mercedes-Benz. The tractor is a state-of-the-art Mercedes-Benz Actros 1843 LS equipped with a Stream Space cab and the latest low emission Euro 6 technology. In addition to the standard equipment, the vehicle has an additional safety package with lane departure warning and collision avoidance systems. To reduce fuel consumption even further, the external sun visor has been replaced by a windscreen foil and the sides of the cabin have been rounded off. The 2-axle Krone trailer, which has a maximum permitted weight of 38 t and fully-enclosed under-run protection, is a special user-friendly curtainsider.
«The radiator grille that was specially designed for this vehicle gives the truck a perfect appearance and is a great eye-catcher on the road!» It is impossible to overlook the 90 that has been stamped into the radiator grille to mark the impressive anniversary. CAMION TRANSPORT will initially deploy the special vehicle at its Rothenburg branch office in Central Switzerland. The truck will be used for part and wagonload transport services and it is expected that its fuel consumption will be around 3-5% less than customary.
