Josef Jäger, Director of CAMION TRANSPORT christened the powerhouse bull «Camino» on 17th November 2021. The wrestling king will be presented with the beauty as their prize.
Camino belongs to the Brown Swiss breed, and currently lives on Peter Truniger’s farm in Underschönau in Kirchberg and weighs approximately 460 kilos. «He is a stately, impressive animal, and the christening was a very special moment for me,» beams Josef Jäger. By the wrestling festival, Camino will be two years old and weigh around twice as many kilos as he does today.
Why the name «Camino»?
Camino fits perfectly with Camion, only the ending of the word has been adapted. Camino also means «the road» in Spanish – so it is fitting for the transport company. And in Latin it means «the furnace / the forge», which is symbolic of fire, strength and intensity – fitting for the bull.
The St. Gallen Cantonal Wrestling Festival has the motto: «Wil (be)schwingt» (Will gets enthusiastic). The sawdust awaits. And we will be there with plenty of verve and enthusiasm – we are looking forward to it!
