Three fully electric FUSO eCanters joined our vehicle fleet just a few days ago. Thanks to these new vehicles, we have once again taken a pioneering role in the area of commercial vehicles with alternative propulsion systems. We are the first company in Switzerland to use this pre-series model. «We’re looking forward to testing out the eCanter in our city logistics work,» affirms Josef Jäger, Director of CAMION TRANSPORT, and adds: «Our focus has always been on eco-friendly transport solutions and these new additions to our fleet are another step towards our final goal: Providing emission-free deliveries in city centres by 2025.»
FUSO eCanter is one of the first fully electric lorries to be developed for series production. It is the perfect vehicle for inner-city deliveries as it’s a real city runabout – small, agile and quiet. Our three vehicles are currently used in the cities of Basel, Lucerne and Geneva and are perfect for this purpose.
The key handover took place with a small group of people in Rümlang with all social distancing measures being observed. Josef Jäger recieved the keys from Jürg Lüthi, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Trucks Schweiz AG, and René Rusch, Sales Advisor at FUSO Canter Commercial Vehicles at LARAG AG.
