Takeover of transport operations of Willi Schärer Transport AG

CAMION TRANSPORT Ltd will take over the transport operations of Willi Schärer Transport AG in Pratteln as of 1 May 2022. This involves employees, vehicles and customer relations. With this acquisition, we are further expanding our partial loads and wagon loads transport division and strengthening our position as a transport and logistics service provider.

The transport company Willi Schärer Transport AG, founded in 1961, is withdrawing completely from the «national goods transport» sector and is handing over its business activities to CAMION TRANSPORT Ltd, headquartered in Wil. The two companies are united by high quality standards and a long-standing personal relationship between the owners. This led to the decision to integrate the Basel transport company into the structures of CAMION TRANSPORT Ltd. Both parties see this as the most sustainable solution.

The takeover includes the customer base from the partial load and wagon load sectors, as well as the crane orders and nine vehicles, the majority of which CAMION TRANSPORT Ltd will station at the Basel branch, directly next to Wolf station. The company also offers all employees continued employment. They are primarily intended for deployment in partial load and wagon load transport, i.e. in their usual field of activity.
