The new, electrically-powered HGV stands out clearly from our other two eActros in terms of one point: It has an additional battery, which means the vehicle can travel for another 100 kilometres. Thanks to the four special lithium-ion batteries, the three-axle HGV therefore has a range of up to 400 kilometres. 27 tonnes approved total weight with a 6x2 chassis configuration and a total battery capacity of 448 kWh: That’s the performance of our third eActros.
The vehicle will mainly be used for the Rümlang / Brüttisellen shuttle trip for our key customer, Coca-Cola HBC Schweiz AG. In addition to the shuttle service, the vehicle’s extended range is also of benefit for trips to end-customers (in the Bernese Oberland region, for example).
Its modern, completely digital cockpit makes it easier to operate – whether for managing the optimum battery charging or for other functions in the cabin. And if the eActros has access to the maximum electrical power capacity, it can be fully charged in approximately one hour. Its battery life is estimated to total approximately eight years as long as it is used properly.
