We’re one step ahead when it comes to trying out new drive technologies and vehicle models in practice. «We are the first company across Switzerland to be on the road with the latest generation of DAF CF Electric», says Josef Jäger, Director of CAMION TRANSPORT, delightedly. This is no coincidence – just another step on the journey to meeting those ambitious environmental targets: We want to achieve zero-emission supplies to city centres from 2025, to urban regions from 2030 and cross-country distances from 2040, primarily with zero-emissions vehicles. The milestones are therefore set for us to become climate-neutral by 2050.

The official vehicle handover from the representatives of DAF Trucks N.V. to CAMION TRANSPORT took place on Wednesday, 6 April 2022 in Vufflens-la-Ville. After the symbolic, ceremonial act of handing over the keys, the drivers were given thorough training directly at the vehicle itself.

We are planning to use the new, fully-electric DAF truck for the fine distribution of general cargo in the La Côte region. We are also planning to use it for shuttle trips between our sites in Vufflens-la-Ville and Geneva, including consignment distribution in the city of Geneva, where it makes sense to do so.
