Hydrogen mobility: At the forefront.

Today, on 7 October 2020, the first seven Hyundai «Xcient» commercial vehicles with fuel cell drive for the Swiss market were handed over at the Swiss Museum of Transport in Lucerne. We are one of the companies playing a pioneering role: A Hyundai Xcient is now part of our fleet of vehicles.

For us, the decision to pursue «hydrogen mobility» is a logical conclusion in our environmental thinking. And it represents a further milestone in the history of CAMION TRANSPORT. We have always focussed upon environmentally-friendly transport solutions. It goes without saying that this includes alternative drive technologies. We have a clear target: emission-free delivery to the inner cities from 2025, and to urban regions from 2030. This strategic decision is a contribution towards achieving this objective.

We are convinced that mobility based on sustainably produced hydrogen is forward-thinking and advantageous for the environment, our society, and the economy. All conditions are met for sustainably reducing CO₂ emissions in road transport. We are accepting this responsibility and acting independently, instead of waiting for others.

The Hyundai Xcient Fuel Cell is the world’s first series-produced heavy-duty commercial vehicle with fuel cell electrical drive. Our driving personnel will be receiving type-specific instruction during the next few days. Then we will be ready for the roads. We are looking forward to it!
